Drake responded to criticism over his friendship with Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown with a track from his new album For All The Dogs.
Drake, 36, named the 19-year-old “Enola Holmes” star in the track “Another Late Night,” calling out the “weirdos” who “joked” about his friendship with the actor.
“The weirdos in my comments are talking about some Millie Bobby, look,” he reads. “Bring jokes to the whole gang and we’ll really get together / Or send your mom a finger in some FedEx boxes / Open this shit up, it’s just amazing, really shocking,” the song continues.
In 2018, Brown revealed that she and the rapper had been texting each other regularly since meeting in Australia the previous year. At the time, Brown was only 14 years old.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, Brown said the “God’s Plan” artist was a “great friend and a great role model” who wrote her advice about “boys.” She declined to say what Drake would text her, saying, “It’ll stay in text messages.”
After people began questioning their relationship, Brown defended them in an Instagram story, saying it was “weird” to “make a beautiful friendship the headline.”
She added that “it’s nice to have people who understand what I do” and said she was “lucky that people in the business took the time to help me further my career and offered their wisdom and guidance.”
Canadian-born rapper Drake released his highly anticipated eighth studio album on October 6th. The 23-track album includes collaborations with Bad Bunny, SZA, 21 Savage, J. Cole and more.
It also included several samples of other songs, but both Pet Shop Boys and rapper Ry Ry accused Drake of using their music without permission.
British pop synth duo declared onformerly known as Twitter that Drake didn’t “thank” them for using a line from their 1984 single “West End Girls” in “All the Party.”
