Here comes the first trailer of the film starring the Australian actress, from July 20 in theaters.
July 20 is approaching and the wait for the release of one of the most anticipated films of the year is getting closer. The film Barbie, a film translation of the adventures starring the characters from the world of the famous doll, will be in theaters around the world starting next summer. In these hours Warner has released the first official trailer of the film with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling which, after that teaser a few months ago that paid homage in a way that was anything but veiled 2001: A Space Odyssey and which said little about the plot of the film, this time it says much more than the awaited and mysterious feature film inspired by the legendary doll of the Mattel.
A trailer, that of the film by Greta Gerwig, which perfectly conveys the idea of some of the stylistic choices adopted to represent these famous characters from childhood’s imagination for the first time in cinema. A world, that of Barbie, which has the plasticky and rosy features that we would apply in theory to any representation of Barbie. An ironic and surreal language is the background to the few dialogues of the short trailer of a film which, hypothetically, could also be part of the program of the Cannes Film Festival 2023.
Dua Lipa is also in the cast of Barbie
The cast of the film is very rich, in addition to Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, there America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, Emma Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Issa Rae, Michael Cera, Will Ferrell, Emerald Fennell, Alexandra Shipp and many others. As announced on the film’s social pages, there will also be room for Dua Lipa, who sings some songs from the film and who will probably also have a part of her.

When is the Barbie and Ken movie coming out?
Out July 20, 2023, only in cinemas. The American director Greta Gerwig, who in 2019 directed Little Women with Emma Watson, is working on the film that recreates the imaginary of the human Barbie in her candid and immaculate life in a shining Malibu. It will be interesting to understand what the developments of the plot will be and if the story will plumb even the darkest depths of the sugary life of a protagonist embodied, in all her aesthetic canons, by the Oscar-nominated actress Margot Robbie who is also its producer.
