Dua Lipa transforms from mermaid Barbie to femme fatale in the upcoming spy film Argyle.
Lipa will play the main role Matthew Vaughncontinuation Kingsman series of films nearby Henry Cavill as Chief Agent Argyll, a character from the spy book series by author Ellie Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard). After Conway’s latest book accidentally predicts the events of real-life spies, she must team up with a secret agent (played by Sam Rockwell) to escape from dangerous villains.
“When I read this early draft of the manuscript, I felt this was the most incredible and original spy franchise since Ian Fleming’s ’50s books,” Vaughn said in a statement about the film in July 2021. “It will redefine the spy genre.”
Vaughn’s production company, Marv Studios, released the first cut of the film in March 2022, which featured previews of Cavill, Lipa and their co-stars. Ariana DeBose. The official trailer was released a year later.

Is Argyle based on a book?
The novel of the same name will be published on April 1, 2024. The book is shrouded in some mystery, as it is unknown whether the author Conway is a real person or just the name of the fictional character Howard.
According to the Penguin Books UK website, Conway “is the author of the highly anticipated debut thriller Argyle.” She lives in the United States and is currently working on the next part of the series.”
