in an interview with city and countryDenis Villeneuve revealed that in dune 2 ,watch the trailercharacter of lady jessica Atreides, played by Rebecca Ferguson, will play a very important role. Here are his words:
Lady Jessica disappears in the second half of the book, and when I was writing the screenplay I made sure I did the opposite, be proactive, bring her back to the fore of the story. I can’t wait for the world to see what Rebecca has accomplished. He’s not afraid to go too far. She is a force I can count on.
(Ferguson) likes to have fun. It is important for him to enjoy the moment and create lightness, joke and make sure everyone is comfortable. He wants you to feel secure.
Talking about his character, Ferguson says:
She is a mother who protects and trains someone and something. I say something because he knows he is dealing with an organization bigger than him. When Paul (Timothée Chalamet) starts to pull away,
She begins to lose power, which leads her on an unexpected journey to discover who we are in response to other people. It is then that we find ourselves.
dune 2 will hit the theaters from November 3, 2023 And in addition to Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreid and Austin Butler as Fayed-Routha, we’ll also find Zendaya as Chani, while Florence Pugh will be Princess Irulan.
