Emma Raducanu recently shared a clip of her run at last year’s Cincinnati Open, expressing her excitement for the upcoming 2024 season.
Raducanu’s Cincinnati season was one of the most impressive performances of the 2022 season, as she defeated two former world No. 1s, Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka, with a bagel. The former British world number one defeated the American player in straight sets 6-4, 6-0 in the first round.
The 20-year-old then defeated two-time Australian Open champion Azarenka 6-0, 6-2. She finally met her opponent, Jessica Pegula, whom she defeated 7-5, 6-4 in the third round.
Raducanu shared the video on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, October 25.
“Can’t wait,” Raducanu wrote on Instagram.
Raducanu recently revealed that she is taking a break from the 2023 season and preparing for her comeback in the upcoming 2024 season. The 20-year-old said this season has been difficult as she has missed all Grand Slam tournaments.
