When the NFL legend shared his thoughts on Serena Williams at Desert Smash, EssentialsSports was on hand to cover every detail of the story. Williams’ sister seemed to be the favorite at the event, as another person picked her as the GOAT.

Reggie Bush is a former football running back who attended the Desert Smash charity event in La Quinta, California. EssentiallySports was on hand to cover the event and talk tennis with Bush. The former NFL star was asked if the sport would attract more of a younger audience. Bush responded that it had been done, thanks in large part to Serena Williams.
Bush said: “We have women like Coco Gauff. Serena Williams is the queen who paved the way for people of color, women of color, to play tennis at a high level, and I guess that’s all you can ask for. You know, someone who sets the standard and continues to raise it. I think Serena sets the standard; young players like Goff take you to the next level. So to me, that’s the kind of sports content I like to see.“

When Bush expressed his admiration for Williams, he became one of many stars to praise the 23-time Grand Slam champion. He was joined by another American celebrity who called Serena Williams a “goat”.
