Tom Brady called off his short-lived romance with Irina Shayk because he “couldn’t wrap my head around it,” according to people familiar with the matter, who claim the two “became friends” more easily.
Reports emerged last week that the 46-year-old NFL legend and 37-year-old Russian model Irina called it quits after things “failed.”
Now, a source claims the pair “would probably still be dating” if the athlete “had more time for a relationship” — but he’s currently super focused on work and sex following his split from Gisele Bundchen his three children.
“If Tom had more time for love, he would go all out and probably still date Irina. He really thinks she’s great,” the insider told the Daily Mail exclusively.
“But Tom is keeping himself busy with his business, being a part of the sports teams he owns, getting ready for his commentary job next year and being a father.
“Tom Brady is busy, and despite everything he can do, he can’t make the days last 36 hours.”
He continued: “Everything he does, he wants to give 110%, and he knows he can’t give all his attention and time to Irina, and she’s a great person, and he He didn’t want her to feel less worldly than him.
“Maybe they’ll find each other in the future, but right now, it’s easier for them to be friends.”

Tom separated from Gisele in 2022 after 13 years and has 10-year-old Vivian and 13-year-old Benjamin. They divorced in October of that year. He also has a 16-year-old son, John, with ex-boyfriend Bridget Moynahan.
The former quarterback was first linked to Irina in July when he was photographed caressing her face in his Rolls-Royce after a sleepover at their Los Angeles home.
The news comes as rumors swirled after they both attended the wedding of billionaire art heir Joe Nahmad to Madison Headrick in Sardinia, Italy.
But Tom raised eyebrows last week when he was pictured relaxing alone on a yacht in Miami, while Irina, who has a six-year-old daughter Leah with ex-boyfriend Bradley Cooper, was spotted in New York Worry about a short marriage.
Tom is a shareholder of the MLP Vegas Night Owls, English EFL Championship Birmingham City Football Club and the newly crowned WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion is also preparing for his new role as a commentator after signing a 10-year deal with Fox Sports worth $375 million. He made his debut last month.
Meanwhile, Irina has been busy with her modeling career, walking the catwalk at Paris, Milan and London Fashion Weeks in recent months.
Her ex-boyfriend Bradley has also moved on after their June 2019 split, and the Oscar nominee is dating another model, 28-year-old Gigi Hadid Enjoying the budding romance.
The two were out in New York City last week when they were caught in the rain while walking side by side with a woman pushing a stroller.
It is believed the child in the pram may be Gigi’s three-year-old daughter Kaye, whom she shares with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik.
