We never get tired of seeing the tricks people use to retouch their eyes on social networks. From the famous fork or flossing trick, to how to make eyeliner with tape. They are all great. But there is one more try. We’ll explain how to do this (of course!), but let’s throw in a good hype: Like the pictures you drew when you were a kid, just filled with dotted lines, just… in your eyes, no Crayola.
As you read. That’s the trick, put it into practice on TikTok @kajastanoor6, is to create the perfect dotted line, then fill it in with eyeliner. But how do you create a baseline of points? Well, here’s the key: use a comb.
In the video, Douyin shows how she inks the end of a thin comb with liquid eyeliner, then stamps it on the corner of her eye in two stages to create a “stencil.” Then fill in the results and you’re done. Eyeliner (yes now), to perfection, in seconds.
some advices
I think it took me about 5-10 seconds to start trying this trick to see if it worked. Yes, it works and we prove it works. Now, doing it with what I have on hand (which is not exactly what appears in the video), the result is not the same.
I tried using a comb with the teeth a little bit more apart than the one in the video, and a black pencil. First, spaced barbs won’t help create a baseline if you want a subtle tail. It works great if you want to elongate it, but it’s best to use a fine-toothed comb.
Second, using black eyeshadow will not achieve the same effect. The texture of the product leaves ‘drips’, though it marks spots, and the result is not as smooth as you can achieve with a liquid eyeliner or marker.
That being said, we know you’re looking for a comb right now, so…good luck!
