Facebook removes Trump post for disinformation about covid-19

Facebook removed on Wednesday (5) a video posted by the President of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, in which he said that children are “almost immune” to COVID-19. The company said the publication violated misleading information sharing rules about the new coronavirus.

“This video includes false claims that a group of people is immune to COVID-19, which is a violation of our policies on harmful misinformation,” said a Facebook spokesman.

The spokesman added that it was the first time the social media company removed a post from Trump for misinformation about the new coronavirus.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
