The thought of wearing boots in sandal season may seem unusual, but in fact, many fall boots pair perfectly with summer or seasonal wear, and pairing the two is an easy way to start smoothly transitioning your look into a transitional climate. Emily Ratajkowski, Zoe Saldana and Kaia Gerber wore boots with slip dresses and mini dresses this month, offering great inspiration for next month’s outfits.

White boots

White boots are perhaps the most obvious choice, because the sheer palette, from cream to ivory and chalk, pairs naturally with the softer hues of a summer wardrobe. At recent couture shows, model Liya Kebede wore a pair of white heeled boots and a bodycon suede dress in a dense toffee shade, an outfit that heralds fall style.
