Dead Paul Reubens, American actor and comedian, best known for his role as Pee-wee Herman in the 1980s TV series. Rubens, who was 70 years old, died on Sunday, July 30, from cancer, which he had been battling for six years. The announcement appeared on Monday on the actor’s Instagram profile.

The actor left a posthumous message to his fans, which became known after his death: “Please accept my apologies for not publicly disclosing what I have been dealing with for the past six years. I have always experienced great love and respect from my friends, fans and supporters. I have always loved each of you very much and it was wonderful to make art for you.”.
Paul Reubens (real name Paul Reubenfeld) was born in Pisskill, New York in 1952. His early success was with The Groundlings in Los Angeles. In 1980, he had a small role in a film. Blues Brothersto then be consecrated in 1981 as Pee-wee’s interpreter on The Pee-wee Herman Show, as a character good-naturedly poking fun at the children’s show hosts. The character was revived in a 1985 Tim Burton film. Pee Wee’s Big Adventureand in 1986 – in a new specialized series.
In 1992, Paul Reubens’ image as a childhood hero was tarnished by a court accident that resulted in him being found guilty of indecent exposure in a public place for an episode that took place in a red-light movie theater. After this episode, he appeared in minor roles in such successful films as Batman Returns, Matilda 6 legendary, mysterious people AND Blow.
