In this new album we find all the themes that make up the band’s strong musical identity, eleven new songs ‘handed over to the present’, eleven songs of life and hope, of proud sailing, of love and resistance: saints, poets, outcasts , brave captains, fugitives, fugitives, defeated but never surrendered, a human crew marching forward with its contradictions and wonders. All of the band’s musical identities are found in the sounds of this work: experimenting and crossing genres, languages ​​and inspirations, from Ireland to sub-Saharan Africa, crossing the Mediterranean. Modena City Ramblers Born in 1991 as an Irish folk group, they have always loved the music and traditions of the Emerald Isle. From there thirty years were full of successes, both in terms of recordings and live tours, in Italy and Europe. In 2022 Modena City Ramblers begin their tour to celebrate “Apunti Partigiani”, a gold record in 2005 and an important stage in their rich recording career, which has covered South Africa, Spain in addition to Italy, over 40 dates also touched Passing through the Sziget Festival in Budapest. From November 2022 the band also brings a celebration tour to Italian clubs.

Saturday 15th July at 9.30pm will be the turn of Dublin legend -Sean Cannon, Gerry O’Connor, Paul Watchorn and Shay Kavanagh – true stalwarts of the Irish folk music scene. Sean and Eamon have been members of iconic folk group The Dubliners for nearly 30 years, while Gerry joins them on the final leg of their 50th anniversary tour. He was part of the famous Irish folk rock band Four Men and a Dog and has played with everyone from Sharon Shannon to Shane McGowan as well as touring with blues rock guitar legend Joe Bonamassa. Paul Watchorn, one of Ireland’s best 5 string banjo players, toured the world for many years as a member of Derek Warfield’s Sons of Erin. Shay Kavanagh, who had replaced Eamon, who passed away in 2017, stepped in to help and after various ups and downs Dublin Legends was born.

Dublin Legends Ronnie Drew, Luke Kelly, Ciaran Bourke, Barney McKenna and John Sheehan will continue the legacy started in Dublin in 1962 because as Barney himself said: “It’s too late to stop”.
