Ferrari cast could take part in 2023 Venice Film Festival

The cast of the film “Ferrari” will be able to take part in the Venice Film Festival

SAG-AFTRA will allow Ferrari castdirected by Michael Mann promote biopic Venice Film Festival 2023 despite the strike. In fact, the union has signed a temporary contract with the distribution house NEON which allows the actors to attend.

In effect, this work stoppage prevents union members from participating in the promotion of films they have worked on, including festival as one of Venice. However SAG-AFTRA may make exceptionsby signing temporary agreements with production and distribution companies outside the mainstream Hollywood studios.

This contract authorizes the cast of the filmwhich includes Adam Driver and Penelope CruzFrom to advertise feature film at the world premiere in Venice Film Festival 2023, closing night of the New York Film Festival and other events where the film may be screened.

AND Unknown Country led by Lily Gladstone. However, it is still too early to say whether the stars will actually be involved in promoting the film.

In fact, there is a possibility that I talents may refuse to exercise rights provided by the unionjust keep supporting the cause. It happened with Bradley Cooper which has refused to participate in the Venice Film Festivaldespite the green light given to the film by Maestro.

So we can’t tell you if Adam Driver, Penélope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Patrick Dempsey, Jack O’Connell and Gabrielle Leone will participate in Venice Film Festival. We can confirm that they canbut the final choice will be theirs.

The 80th Venice International Film Festival will take place at the Venice Lido from 30 August to 9 September 2023.
