A film, of course, by horror genre with a very famous director: Eli Roththe very clever and disturbing mastermind behind the celebrated Hostels. The news had made fans of the genre very happy, who had been waiting for such a work for a long time. After shooting the film The Mystery of the House of Time, it sure looked like Roth was ready to get back on the project.
The coronavirus pandemic has slowed down the whole world of cinema and also this ambitious project. However, the good news concerns the continuation of this work and the announcement of a potential casting: after the confirmation of this, the news about the start of filming also arrives.
Thanksgiving, the news communicates the start of filming: that’s when the film will be released
The announcement comes with a photo posted on Twitter, but there are no images from the set or the protagonists. The shot is of the weapon used by the killer, an ax, and the caption is very clearly referring to Thanksgiving by reading: “There will be no leftovers“.
The setting is in the city of Plymouth, Massachusetts, while the moment of the year is precisely that of the famous American holiday. The fake trailer, in fact, showed a killer in the slasher movie who goes around the city, beheading the victims.
The film stars Patrick Dempsey, Nell Verlaque, Addison Rae, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Milo Manheim, Gabriel Davenport, Tomaso Sanelli, Jenna Warren, Gina Gershon, Tim Dillon, and Rick Hoffman.
