The Final Fantasy 7 remake had some issues like overly linear level design. But it is possible that the upcoming sequel will expand horizons in some rather important directions.
In an interview with IGN, Naoki Hamaguchi, recently confirmed as the sequel’s sole director, said Cloud was going to ” explore the world map ” in the game and suggested that exploring a much larger world would be something of a trick.
“As for the improvements, or better to say ‘changes’ – moving forward, as in the sequel Cloud and company will be forced to leave Midgar and explore the map of the world. Our next challenge will be to create a gameplay that takes advantage of the vast possibilities of the world, as opposed to what we did in the first part of the remake. “
It was previously assumed that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 will introduce significant changes to the atmosphere depending on the location you intend to explore.
Hamaguchi also recently said that the sequel will likely continue to use some of the new game mechanics introduced in Intergrade.
