Folly’s Bar and Bistro will open in Kammer in November – hospitality

Former Applejack Hospitality group bar manager Lachie Sturrock has teamed up with The Alfred Hotel’s Sam Smith and pub owners Bill Smith and Lee Dillon to open a bar and bistro on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.

Folly’s will take over the site of the former Belgian Beer Café Epoque and is currently undergoing renovations with an official opening date set for November.

Once completed, Folly’s will have a bar in the front and a bistro in the back, as well as a private dining room that seats 30 people.

“We aim to bring back the coziness and energetic buzz that the space once had and recreate the atmosphere of a neighborhood where locals happily come several times a week, always finding something new to try and experience,” says Sturrock.

This place is shaping up to be something new for the region, with former Icebergs, Amare and Fauna chef Antonio Espiritu heading up the kitchen and working on a Mediterranean culinary brief.

While the menu is in development, beers from Freshwater Brewing Company, Philter and Capital Brewing Co will be on tap, and the wine offering will span 80 to 100 beers from local and old-world producers in France and France. Italy.

Folly is open from 3pm to late Tuesday to Thursday and 12pm to late Friday to Sunday.
