Former Chelsea star Mason Mount slams Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham over Manchester United rematch

Former Chelsea star Mason Mount has been criticized for wearing the number seven shirt at Manchester United this summer. The midfielder moved from the Blues to the Red Devils from the Blues for a fee of around £55 million a few months ago, but no progress has been made yet.

While Mount struggled to regain form, he also faced injuries that kept him out of many games. The legend surrounding the England international’s future looms in the background, but it won’t end in the easiest way.

The 24-year-old had just over a year left on his contract and wanted to stay, but no deal was ultimately agreed as doubts remained over his place in the squad. This led to Mount seeking an exit, which he eventually achieved at Manchester United.

His start so far has been hampered by another injury from which he has just recovered, making for a difficult first few months. During that game, former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor questioned his impact and whether he should don the shirt once held by David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo The legendary number seven jersey.
