The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to make the playoffs for the second straight year, so in an effort to bolster their post game, they’ve brought in a veteran power forward who played for the Los Angeles Lakers last season.
In fact, the “Cavaliers” hired Tristan Thompson, who won an NBA championship ring with the team in the 2015-2016 championship.
In fact, Thompson played nine seasons with the Cavaliers, four of which he also shared an interest in LeBron James before the two reunited with the Lakers in their last playoff run.
In a total of 11 NBA regular seasons, the Canadian averaged 9.1 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, playing for the Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland.
At the same time, although Thompson did not participate in the knockout stage of the 2022-2023 season, he played six playoff games for Los Angeles, averaging 5.8 minutes per game, 1.8 points and 1.6 rebounds.
Just as the Cavaliers will be trying to get back into the upcoming NBA playoffs, the Lakers will be the favorite to reach the league finals and take home the top honors.
