Pope Francis canceled Monday’s planned audience “as a precaution” because he has been suffering from a “mild” flu since Saturday, the Vatican reported.

“Mild flu symptoms persist and there is no fever. This morning’s hearing remains suspended as a precaution,” a statement from the Holy See Press Office said.
