“Yes, thank you. As you can see, I’m still alive. The doctor won’t let me go to Dubai. The reason is that it’s very hot there and you switch from heating to air conditioning,” The pope said this Thursday during an audience with participants of a health ethics conference at the Vatican.
Then Francisco, 86, explained: “Thank God, it’s not pneumonia. It’s a very acute form of infectious bronchitis. I don’t have the fever anymore, but I’m still taking medications like antibiotics. Thank you for everything.”

The pope has been receiving intravenous antibiotics since Saturday and held nine meetings on Thursday during which his general health improved.
