At the same time, we can’t help but notice that the competition isn’t all that fierce this year. Among the aspiring singers in the competition, the scourge of autotune or, when it is missing, a really fluctuating intonation is widespread. Aaron errs in excess in his interpretation, exaggerating everything from Caffè della Peppina to the most heartbreaking romantic ballad as if every internal organ were about to explode. He ends up dropping a thread of melody in all that pathos. The much acclaimed Wax reworks Surfin’ USA and perhaps one day the Beach Boys, like the general public, will forgive him for the criminal insertion of bars in Italian that are substantially devoid of logical sense. In short, the general average of all the promising young singers is really disappointing. In recent times, he had already proved himself to be incredible. At the last Sanremo Festival, she tried her hand at the cover of his La Notte Vola together with the young Olly. Lorella Cuccarini is back on TV at Amici’s evening to demonstrate that that exploit on the Ariston stage was by no means an isolated case.
