Star of Wonder Woman Gal Gadot transforms from superhero to super spy in his new action movie “Heart of Stone”. In the Netflix thriller set to release on August 11, Gal plays a Secret Service agent tasked with stopping a dangerous hacker.
Before the SAG-AFTRA strike, the actress chatted with Extra about the film and its deadly stunts involving women!
“We really worked hard” He said. “We didn’t compromise until we got the right shot. It was very, very physical.”
To prepare for the action and stunts, Gal revealed that “It was months of learning and learning different trick choreographies and things we had to learn from different tricks. I am lucky to be surrounded by an incredible stunt team that I have worked with on previous films and have become like a second family to me. So I never had a moment where I thought, “This is too dangerous for me.” I knew they were guarding me all this time.”
“Tom Cruise is a master of this genre and I think he is a unicorn in that sense. There is only one Tom CruiseGadot said. “I love Tom. When I started acting, I had a scene or a couple of scenes with him in the movie “Knight of the Day”. I’d like to do something with Tom.”
In addition to starring in Heart of Stone, Gal also produced the film.
“It’s been an inspiring, interesting and exciting creative process, from the moment the idea was born, to all the different decisions that were made along the way, to sitting here and talking to you about the film.”said the actress, who juggled her schedule on and off camera. “I am so happy with everything. It’s been an incredible journey.”
“It was very important for me to tell this story from a female point of view because I am playing it. And it has to be organic and authentic to who the character really is. I think after the success of Wonder Woman, I had an “aha” moment when I realized there was more room in the genre for action movies with female leads, and that was the element that gave me the confidence to keep going. . ”the actress continued.
“And from the very beginning, I thought that if we want to be authentic in relation to the characters and the story, we have to make sure that the chemistry is there and the connections, relationships and storyline make sense. We knew the action was going to be huge right from the start. So it was very important for me to have both elements: action and drama.”
“I am overwhelmed with joy, surprise and everything in between. It’s incredible. I can’t believe that a little girl from the Middle East came to America… It’s surreal. Surreal would be the right word.”
