Singer, Honored and People’s Artist of Ukraine Iryna Bilyk came to Kharkov to say goodbye to the mayor of the city Gennady Kernes.

At 7 am in Kharkiv, a farewell ceremony began with the ex-head of the city, Gennady Kernes. Many politicians and businessmen, such as Vitali Klitschko, Mikhail Dobkin, Evgeny Muraev, came to spend it on his last journey. Singer Irina Bilyk also attended the ceremony.

 My condolences to the family and friends of Gennady Adolfovich Kernes. My condolences to the whole city of Kharkiv, my beloved city. I want to remember this bright, wonderful person – not just the mayor of the city, but a person, Gennady Kernes. Whenever we met him on stage, he never forgot to ask me: “Ira, how are you? What problems do you have, what do you need? “- I always answered:” Gennady Adolfovich, I’m fine! And thank you for what you are doing for Kharkiv. ” The Kingdom of Heaven to our great man and the earth rest in peace to him, ”said the singer.

We will remind you, Gennady Kernes died on the night of December 17 in the German clinic Charite. A few days earlier, the politician had kidney failure due to complications from the coronavirus.

The body of the mayor was delivered to Kharkov on December 21. He was transported on a charter flight from Berlin. The politician will be buried in the second city cemetery opposite the grave of Yevgeny Kushnarev.
