Endless flow along a closed path (/circuit/environment) without friction due to the infinite thermal conductivity of its components. Today, this is precisely the miracle of a band like Superfluido. A quality that I sincerely envy him a little. Because of age, because the years go by, and a person becomes a “melinh”, that is, a victim of melancholic cynicism, which makes you grumble “well, if I were now at their age …”.

No. You can’t, and I can’t help it, old folks. The hallmark of this developing Roman group is because despite the web tending to devour every presence, they are about to appear! – that they arrived at the right place at the right time. Today, rap has finally become an understandable and accepted language.

And they can live it as a group, collectively, with full strength and creative energy. And then “let’s go to the studio!” … and so, they churn out a bunch of material. Maybe too much. But everything escapes, and we must catch it on the fly, before it withers and turns into ashes. And the boys catch each other in the studio, let the time go, two joints, a beer, some rhymes, and I’m not saying the fear goes away, but turn the volume down.

I say Underground as a conscious life choice. As a utopian and concrete search for an alternative. Toward a flat, rigid, uniform culture that makes everything flat, rigid, and uniform. But I digress. I let the current carry me away. And I fell into a well.

This EP is basically Gentle T at the microphone, Is not to the beat. And so the connection with another emerging – or already emerging – group on the Italian scene, Kiazza Mob, from Lecce, who have released many spontaneous and powerful products in recent years. Generalized fermentation that is felt in the air.

New rappers hatch from the ruins of a shattered world. And suddenly: the revenge of the flow. Down the well it’s part of the revenge process. Who knows, maybe I’m exaggerating…but the point is that I’m happy with the fact that the Italian underground hip-hop scene is being freed from the “mind your own business and kick ass for autoeroticism” prejudice.

The metro needs a project. AND chiazza AND superfluid they remember it well. They have a clear direction. And this is enough for now.

Down the well opens from Canneto. Crooked entrance, with this pipe, and ringing in the ears, and we are in their world, colorful and crooked. Who follows the exact direction and knows his “goals”.

This is the philosophy of reality. This is reality – Boom-bap. The sound of “fathers”. “Straight” drums, two verses, scratches from Great smokeand go with the flow. And this is the declaration of intent:

The only limitation I, as an attentive listener, find in the new wave of independent Italian rap is that it follows too closely “in the style of Griselda(I’d like to find a better adjective to describe the influence that this group had on Italian rappers, eventually transforming into “school”, in the usual somewhat superficially stated style. Or, to put it bluntly, a copy).

And this work, like some works by some contemporary artists, seemed to follow this wave when superficially listened to. And yet that’s not all.

Musically, there is an evolution. The rhythm opens, Gentle expands, with voice and skill, and the work goes beyond the current sound – worthy, with its continuation, of course popular, but not very original, both in content and in forms – giving a slap in the face to those who, like me , turned up his nose at the first listening.

And we are in title track. Down the well , where we also see Doya and NONe at the microphone – who produces, repps, mixes; let me be clear: he’s one of my favorite new rappers because he’s metrically free, has catchy imagery, and a blade-like voice that’s determined and mean. (But don’t tell him. He’s still young and he shouldn’t bother. Damn, he’s strong…).

and only those who live in this “conscious madness” understand this. Madness arising. And appearance often means freedom.

And let’s finish with Tunnels (light). Because there is always light at the bottom of the tunnel. And at the bottom of the “well” lies this “drumless” thing that spins for pleasure. With a different trumpet, like at the beginning of the record. But here we come to the end. The pipe is nocturnal and heartbreaking.

Gentle comes here and it’s wonderful. A killing machine unleashed by a flood of memories, mental images, battle rhymes:
