George and Amal Clooney drew all eyes to the event. The two looked as young as their last appearance on the red carpet. A notable change was George’s gray beard, which turned 60 years old.
The two were last caught on the red carpet at the premiere of “Catch-22” in 2019. George produced and directed the miniseries, adapted from the famous novel by Joseph Heller.
Amal and George support numerous humanitarian causes
In 2021, George and Amal Clooney had a busy schedule. In September, Amal was appointed special adviser in the Darfur region of Sudan to the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
Over time, George Clooney became involved in several humanitarian causes. These include the conflict in Darfur, for which the actor has participated in numerous protests and for which he has carried out several projects aimed at drawing attention to the humanitarian problem. In 2007, he also sent a letter to Angela Merkel, calling for the involvement of the European Union in resolving the conflict.
George and Amal Clooney have been involved in numerous humanitarian causes throughout their relationship. These include helping Syrian refugees and LGBT rights.
While his wife continues to deal with important human rights cases, George Clooney will return to the big screen with Julia Roberts. The two will star in the romantic comedy “Ticket to Paradise”, which does not yet have a release date.
George Clooney and Julia Roberts also starred in the series Ocean’s Eleven, in which they played a couple.
