Government of Jalisco find suppliers of rapid tests of COVID-19

After last night the governor of the State informed that the company Hisa S. A de C. V. which had requested 20 thousand rapid tests for the detection of COVID-19 cancelled the purchase once requested, reported on this day that are already looking for other providers to get them.

“No you started the application of rapid tests because the provider did not comply, that is the truth. This is not to say that nothing will be done, we continue to seek all possible alternatives to them soon”.

“If something has been haunting the WHO is that, in order to control this pandemic, we have to do tests, tests and more tests. That is what we do,” explained the representative in social networks.

He said that although it has been reported on several occasions that this type of testing does not work, “as has happened in other countries”, the governor said that “it’s not going to buy anything that is not endorsed and certified by international agencies”however, she explained that the tests by which the detection of this virus are different.

“The (test) quick help us to detect antibodies, and PCR, which checks the infection. And in Jalisco we are going to apply two”, he said, that is to say, that a person who is positive on the rapid tests shall be submitted subsequently to a test in laboratory of PCR (chain reaction of the polymerase, its acronym in English).

“In other words, we’re going out to look for people infected with hiv by Coronavirus to spot them, isolate them and address them in a timely manner” said.

From the 23rd of march, the governor announced that from yesterday, Thursday, would be ready 20 thousand rapid tests of COVID-19 to apply an average of 600 tests per day, however, last night the governor told a radio interview that these had not arrived.

“Weird things have been (…) We had been told that atoraron in customs, then we no longer answered the phone,” said the representative on the purchase at the German laboratory.
