Grant Gustin is the Flash of Robert Pattinson’s Batman universe in incredible fan-made video.

Robert Pattinson’s The Batman Universe Joins Arrowverse Star Grant Gustin as The Flash in New DC Multiverse Video. While DC Studios prepares for the new DC Universe, the Elseworlds franchise continues to exist on both the big and small screens. On The CW, the last Arrowverse show still on is Superman & Lois, which was recently renewed for an abbreviated fourth season. On the cinematic side, both The Batman and Joker universes are getting sequels, with Pattinson and Joaquin Phoenix returning in their respective roles.

While the Batman universe appears to be more realistic than the DCEU, it’s fun to imagine how Bruce Wayne would react to superpowered individuals. Recently, a fan who goes by the name of Free Boredom posted a video that shows what a meeting between Pattinson’s Batman and Gustin’s Barry Allen, aka The Flash, would be like.

Gustin played the Scarlet speedster on The Flash as part of the Arrowverse for nearly a decade before the show ended this year after nine seasons. In addition to playing The Flash in 184 episodes, Gustin’s protagonist has also participated in several Arrowverse crossovers, some of which heavily involve the multiverse.

With the DCEU coming to an end this year with the new DC Universe coming into existence, the question arises whether DC Studios will leave room for a new DC Multiverse crossover in the future. Since the second season of The Flash, the multiverse concept has become a popular storytelling device in the live-action projects of Warner Bros. superhero properties. The Flash film, despite financial difficulties, was the latest example of DC’s implementation of a live-action storyline.

While the new DC Universe with James Gunn will be largely devoted to creating a coherent shared universe, it would be surprising if DC Studios doesn’t return to DC Multiverse stories in the future. Still, considering the multiverse’s current entry into this genre, it might be wise to wait a few years. Once the new DC Universe has been established long enough, it will be fun to see the new heroes join forces with other live-action interpretations of various DC characters.

Despite the fact that there are no other superheroes in the Batman universe at the moment, it will be interesting to see what Matt Reeves would do if given the opportunity to take on various Justice League characters. It would also be a way to avoid repeating what Christopher Nolan did with The Dark Knight trilogy, which was also based on reality without the existence of superpowers. Here’s hoping that as the Batman franchise moves forward, whether it’s with The Flash or someone else, there’s room for more superheroes in Reeves’ Elseworlds universe.
