Hamas: The ground operation is approaching (the twenty-first day in the conflict between Israel and Hamas) – the latest world news at the last minute

As the conflict between Israel and Hamas enters its twenty-first day; Israel announced that it had killed the deputy head of Hamas’ intelligence service. The senior commander who was killed was reportedly one of the officials who planned the attack on Israel on October 7.

Israel also announced that its ground forces launched a new attack on Hamas targets in Gaza. It was announced that Hamas’ anti-tank missile launch points and command and control centers were targeted in the operation supported by warplanes and drones.

A drone and a missile crashed in eastern Egypt

It was announced that a drone fell in the city of Taba, located in eastern Egypt, near the Israeli border, and a missile fell on the city of Nuweiba, located opposite the Gulf of Aqaba. Egyptian army spokesman Colonel Gharib Abdel Hafez confirmed in his statement that an “unidentified” drone had fallen on a building in the city of Taba.

Colonel Abu Al-Hafeez said: “Six people were slightly injured in the accident, and after providing first aid, the injured were removed from the hospital. The accident is being investigated by a committee of experts composed of the relevant authorities.” He said.

The Egyptian “Cairo” satellite channel reported that a missile had fallen on the city of Nuweiba, located on the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba, southeast of the Sinai Peninsula. The Egyptian authorities opened an investigation into the missile landing in Nuweiba.

The Israeli army announced that ground attacks on Gaza will continue in the coming days in preparation for the next stages of the war against Hamas.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said: “The maneuvers will begin when conditions are right. We will win because there is no other option.” He said.

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh warned that continued attacks on Gaza would put the entire region out of control.

On the other hand, intense Israeli army attacks on Gaza continued throughout the night. There were dead and wounded in the attack on the settlements in Khan Yunis. There were also casualties as a result of the aerial bombardment on the White Mosque in the Beach refugee camp.

Patients in Gaza face the risk of death

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus shared a post on the social media platform X about the tension between Israel and Palestine.

“The lack of health care and humanitarian aid in Gaza puts thousands of patients at risk of death.” Using his statements, Ghebreyesus noted that the World Health Organization called for a ceasefire on humanitarian grounds instead of the current cuts in food, water and fuel imposed on people in Gaza.

Thousands of people died

It was reported that 1,400 Israelis, including 309 soldiers, were killed and 5,132 Israelis were injured in the attacks carried out from Gaza.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that Israel killed 7,028 people, including 2,913 children, 1,709 women and 397 elderly people, and wounded 18,484 people in its attacks on Gaza.
