With Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 the Harry Potter film saga ended. Two important sentimental stories were crowned… or just revealed. We tell you this and other curiosities.
July 2011 is remembered with emotion by everyone Harry Potter fansbecause it hit theaters then Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2final act of the saga devised by JK Rowling. The emotion of the fans was no less than that of the cast, especially of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson And Rupert Grint, who had literally grown up over the eight feature films, into the most unforgettable ten years of their lives. Emotions filled this film, especially sentimental ones, with two powerful love stories.
A much awaited moment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 was the kiss between Ron and Hermione, to sanction the beginning of an explicit relationship. In fact it appears that neither Rupert Grint neither Emma Watson they were like that convinced
of the thing, so much so that at the time of the take they continued to consider him a little unnaturalalmost like a “kiss between brother and sister“. Beyond the fact that, still a child, Emma Watson had judged the idea of kissing Daniel or Rupert disgusting (“It’s not in my contract!” she allegedly joked), a certain forcing was admitted by it JK Rowling. The author admitted that she continued on the path of Hermione and Ron as a couple only on principle, to keep faith with the idea he had at the beginning of the saga, regardless of how much later the two proved to be compatible during the course of the work. Emma and JK’s response is that the couple should still work out, maybe with some marriage counseling!
The last film is also important because it is revealed Snape/Snape’s (Alan Rickman) love for Lilythe Harry’s mother. A love never crowned with sweetness, indeed a harbinger of all the negativity that made Snape the tragically ambiguous character he has become in his life. It is well known that Rickman he wasn’t very convinced by the role or by the sagaand that was why JK Rowling decided to reveal only to himbefore anyone else and the whole world, Severus’ love for Lily, the cause of his vindictiveness towards Harry, the child he could have had. And that Lily got from a man who humiliated him. Rickman found it motivation to give his best with his interpretation, having fun provoking his colleagues, emphasizing how he was privileged to have known an explosive element of the saga in total exclusive!
Tom Felton recounted that the scene in which Voldemort hugs Draco Malfoy
was absolutely not foreseen: it was aimpromptu idea of Ralph Fiennes, clapper in progress! With his experience, Fiennes probably knew that Tom would freeze, confused … and the reaction fit perfectly on the character of Draco at the time, mediocre ally of evil. Naturally, the scene was kept as it came from director David Yates. But what would be the last of our articles on Harry Potter curiosities, if we didn’t rattle off some exaggerated numberconcerning the saga or proper Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2? Do you know for example that it was the only chapter of the saga a surpass the billion dollar mark worldwide, on its release? For ten months he also maintained the record of the highest American grossing in the first weekend, until its $169.2 million was surpassed by Avengers’ $207.4 million. Furthermore, when the film, nominated for three Academy Awards for makeup, visual effects and production design, failed to win even one, put an end forever to hopes of at least one Academy Award presented to the saga, which had been nominated nine other times in the past.
To end with a barrage of fire: 25,000 were the costumes or parts of clothing made specifically for the saga; 160 fake glasses worn by Daniel Radcliffe in the shooting of all the films; 5,800 lightning wounds applied to the forehead of Radcliffe or his stunt doubles, in the ten years of production.
