After its first high-profile moment with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, HBO Max has an opportunity to redeem itself.
In the space of 10 years, HBO has produced one of the best police shows ever: True Detective. The first time was praised by critics, and the incredible performances of Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey were a huge success and led to praise for the next leads.
That is why every time there is a new story and new main characters. As it turns out, in the following seasons it will never be possible to succeed the first time.
Judging by international criticism, the second time you won’t see only 47% of 100% of the rotten tomatoes. According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, United States of America: “The second season of True Detective feels ordinary even though the first was outstanding. Banality is something that weighs heavily on True Detective, given that the political genre is constantly on television.”
With these two legendary actors, we also join series stars Alexandra Daddario, Michelle Monaghan, Taylor Kitsch, Rachel McAdams and more.
However, HBO Max is about to miss the opportunity to return to full glory.
ABOUT THE GREAT REGRESSION
True Detective: Night District features a gorgeous duo starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reyes. The double promise, and the trailer and surroundings also seem to make one see the first success.
But why weren’t we successful the last two times? In the second half of True Detective with Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn, we find an argument that feels forced, with a mysticism beyond what we’re used to and chemistry between the double screams.
On the other hand, the third time you will try to succeed in the future under the leadership of Mahershala Ali and in a darker environment. So far I’ve been trying to kill off the second main character to balance it out.
The first time True Detective was perfect, with a mysterious narrative, a double story of chemistry – a story we can’t understand.
