A 49-year-old Australian has been given a two-year suspended sentence for sending bags of feces and urine as a “gift” to two famous Hollywood stars, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jared Leto. Parcel shipping began in February last year when, over the course of a few days, Veronica Grey, who identified herself as a man, sent 23 parcels destined for two American actors from some post offices in Western Australia. Each contained a dose of frozen urine or faeces from a man. The extravagant contents were reportedly discovered even before the parcels were sent overseas, when one of the parcels broke and some of the contents were spilled on an Australian Post operator. a B C. Grey’s defense lawyer said the Philippine-born man who moved to the US before coming to Australia had no intention of pursuing the actors, rather, he wanted to share his passion for the environment with them. The psychiatrist’s report submitted to the court also states that the man suffers from mental disorders. The mitigating circumstances did not convince the judges, who awarded the man two years and a A$3,000 fine. Not at all surprised, Gray would have thanked the judge, admitting that he was “short-sighted.”
