The government of La Rioja will purchase, for the first time, a preventive shipment of 2,138 infant vaccines against bronchiolitis, the respiratory disease that hospitalized many people last year. The cost of anti-respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) monoclonal antibody is EUR 464,715.68 including VAT. So we launched our first immunization campaign to prevent this serious disease in at-risk children under the age of two and those born between April of this year and March 2024.
Likewise, the government of La Rioja has approved the costs associated with the first 23,000 doses of seasonal influenza vaccine for the 2023-2024 vaccination campaign in the amount of €268,008. The aim is to protect high-risk groups, especially those over the age of 60, from the disease.
Other groups for whom influenza vaccination is recommended are as follows: Individuals under the age of 60 years (including children, adolescents, pregnant women, or residents) who are at higher risk of complications due to specific clinical conditions.
