Herro’s outlook on Lakers backcourt
Overshadowed by James and Davis are the Lakers’ guards, and while former Heat player Gabe Vincent won’t play due to fluid in his left knee, they still have playmakers to watch. Some of the notable names are D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reeves, who excelled during their time in Los Angeles.
Herro will take the brunt of the competition against the Lakers backcourt, as the way he plays against the Lakers on both sides of the floor will be an interesting trend. Herro, in his fifth season, acknowledged Los Angeles’ guards and said one of the Heat’s goals is to make opponents “feel” them.
“They’re great players. Obviously they’re playing with LeBron, so LeBron makes it easier for everybody and he brings all the attention to AD, so if you let them move on, they’ll probably Hurt you,” Herro said. “We have to make them uncomfortable.”
So far this season, Hiero has performed well, averaging 25.8 points per game, 5.7 rebounds and 5 assists per game, ranking the team’s scoring leader.
Bam Adebayo talks about what he hopes to see from Miami vs. Heat.lakers
In the frontcourt, the Heat’s Adebayor will have a big showdown with Anthony. Davis, because both are considered the two best defensive big men in the game. Currently, Adebayor has entered his seventh season, and he hopes to renew his contract before the end of this year, which will provide him with more motivation to play the best season of his career. So far, he is averaging 21.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
Adebayo told ClutchPoints that while the team isn’t focused on individual matchups, he’s looking for one collective understanding How the Lakers run their team.

One thing is for sure, if the Heat want to have a chance at redemption against the Lakers, they’re going to need their three main players in Herro, Adebayo, and Jimmy Butler to perform well. It all starts tonight at 7:30 ET at the Kasyea Center.
