The supermodel returns the rumors to the sender and attacks: “Real journalism doesn’t exist anymore.”
Heidi Klum denies rumors that she only eats 900 calories a day.
In a lengthy Instagram post, the German model returned the rumors to the sender, reassuring fans about her diet and lifestyle. “I came home and my friends sent me articles saying I was only eating 900 calories,” the 50-year-old wrote on social media. “Firstly, I don’t think I have ever had to count calories in my life, and secondly, don’t believe everything you read,” repeated the former Victoria’s Secret angel. “I don’t count calories.”
Heidi later defended her decision to share her weight on Instagram during an Instagram Q&A. “Someone asked me how much I weighed, so I got on the scale and showed my weight,” she explained. “I don’t know. People put things together and write a bunch of crap and it’s very sad because real journalism doesn’t exist anymore.”
“While one person is writing something, and others are wallowing in it, and this is very sad, because then someone might read and decide to subscribe”
According to Mail Online, Heidi shared her diet during a controversial live stream in which she allegedly advised followers to start the day with three poached eggs in hot chicken broth. Then, at the request of a fan, she stood on the scale showing her weight.
Doctors recommend 2,000 calories a day for women and 2,500 for men.
