Basketball Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen had a well-known feud with legendary teammate Michael Jordan, but he didn’t hesitate to acknowledge his unparalleled abilities.
Pippen confirmed in an interview on Australia’s “Today Show” that Jordan was the “GOAT” of basketball.
He immediately responded: “Oh, sure. I mean, you look at the MVPs he’s been able to win. But I think it all comes from our success as a team.
Someone will take those honors home. But yeah, he’s definitely the greatest player in basketball. “
His endorsement came as a surprise to fans, given his admitted rivalry with Jordan. Pippen’s statement, known for his critical and somewhat uneasy relationship, prompted a range of reactions, many of which were surprising.
Some fans also introduced the topic of Pippen’s separation from Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan, believing that this would help repair Pippen and Jordan’s relationship.
Pippen is currently in Australia with former Chicago Bulls players Luke Longley and Horace Grant. They teamed up with Australia’s National Basketball League to launch a tour called “No Bull” to discuss Jordan, the Bulls of the ’90s and the 2020 documentary “The Last Dance.”

Thoughts on “The Last Dance” and Pippen’s Changing Views of Jordan
Pippen shared his criticism when asked about the 2020 ESPN documentary “The Last Dance.” I think this documentary focuses more on celebrating Jordan’s legacy than telling the true story of the Bulls dynasty. However, Pippen remained polite when discussing the issue this time.
“I think it’s really special,” Pippen said. “This is a unique opportunity for us to recreate some of the most noteworthy moments in basketball history. More importantly, it allows us to showcase what team basketball looks like.

Pippen, along with former Bulls teammates Horace Grant and Luke Longley, are currently touring Australia for their “No Bull” campaign. They will tell the story of the Chicago Bulls.
Many expected that the trio might respond to some or several of the claims Jordan made in “The Last Dance.” However, so far no insights have been provided from their perspective.
Pippen has been an outspoken critic of Jordan since “The Last Dance” premiered. He was unhappy with other Bulls players being portrayed as minor contributors to the team’s wins.
