The new Gen V poster features a headless statue of Homelander. The Prime Video series is the latest installment in the universe created by The Boys, about a vigilante group determined to take down a corrupt superhero team. Generation V will take a different approach, following a growing group of young superheroes who are being trained at Godolkin University’s School of Crime Fighting, run by the dodgy organization Vought International.
According to ComicBook, Prime Video has shared a new poster for the series ahead of Gen V’s September 29 release. Here is the poster:
The picture shows the Generation V cast gathered around a statue of The Boys’ superhero Homelander (Anthony Starr). In characteristically irreverent fashion, the statue was decapitated, with the head resting on the steps under the teenagers’ feet.
Where you can meet Gen V actors:
The Generation V cast will include superheroes and other characters who, for the most part, have yet to be featured in The Boys cast. However, most of the stars featured on this poster and in the series are recognizable by many familiar names. For example, Jazz Sinclair, who is featured prominently, played Rose in all 36 episodes of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix, as well as films such as Paper Towns, When the Branch Breaks, and Slenderman.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina co-star Chance Perdomo is also on the scale, although he is now best known for his role as Landon in the romantic drama sequels After We Fell and After We Were Happy. The main cast of the series also includes Lizz Broadway, best known for her role as Stephanie Stifler on American Pie Presents: Rules for Girls and for her role opposite Chris Evans and Ana de Armas on Apple TV+’s Ghosts. Also introduce Patrick Schwarzenegger of Midnight Sun and The Staircase.
The rest of the cast includes Derek Lu (Shining Valley), Asa Hermann (Dahmer the Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story), Shelley Conn (Bridgerton, Good Omens) and Maddie Phillips (Supernatural). With so many rising young stars, Gen V has amassed a diverse group of up-and-coming talent. While it remains to be seen if the show can match the incredible popularity of The Boys with such a strong cast of main characters, it could be a new hit.
