Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James compared the Purple and Gold’s early-season struggles to the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers after their 120-101 loss to the Orlando Magic on Saturday night.
“We’re like the Pittsburgh Steelers right now,” James said. “The Pittsburgh Steelers have yet to outscore or outscore any opponent this season, but they have a winning record.”
Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martvavis Bryant has been reinstated after serving a lengthy suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports After his comeback, he is trying to return to the NFL.
Bryant has been out of the league since 2018 due to multiple suspensions due to failed drug tests. The former fourth-round pick of the Steelers spent 2014-2017 in Pittsburgh, catching 126 passes for 1,917 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson has been fined $25,000 for making insulting postgame comments following the team’s Oct. 29 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, league sources confirmed to ESPN.
Johnson, who was not included in the initial list of fines in the weekly gameday accountability report released Saturday, questioned the integrity of officials, claiming they wanted the Jaguars to win.
