Official sources say that Al-Alimi met with Prime Minister Maeen Abdul Malik, as well as some ministers and officials interested in economic affairs, in the presence of the director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Yahya Al-Shuaibi, head of the economic team, Hossam Al -Sharjabi, the governor of the Central Bank, Ahmed Ghaleb, and the ministers of Finance, Salem Bin Brik, and the ministers of Electricity and Energy, Manaa. The meeting, which took place against the backdrop of the deterioration of the electricity service faced by the liberated areas, discussed economic indicators and new variables in the situation of the national currency, goods and supplies of basic services, in particular the electricity and energy.

According to official media, the discussion took place “in light of the latest developments in the local situation, including the continued cessation of oil exports due to the Houthi terrorist attacks, and regional and international developments related to the dangerous escalation of Israeli occupation forces and its potential repercussions on various sectors”.
