Without a doubt, actors Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise are some of the best actors to emerge in the last four decades. Their influence is quite strong thanks to their iconic performances in many blockbusters.
However, not many people know that these two don’t actually get along. They worked together in 1994. Interview with a Vampire and this one experience was enough to make them both resent each other even today. They were supposed to work together in 2019. Ford Vs. Ferrari, however, due to budget issues, they were unable to appear in the film.

Director Joseph Kosinski was originally approached to direct the 2019 film. Ford vs Ferrari
which was originally called Walk like hell. Kosinski once revealed that he tried to get actors Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise into the film (via Collider).“The one I always think about that got away was called Go Like Hell. Which eventually became known as Ford v Ferrari. I’ve always wanted to make a film about racing, and the thing about racing films is that they can’t be about racing, they have to have some kind of amazing story behind them to ensure they get made. And this story was one of those wonderful stories about an incredible friendship, an incredible rivalry and an incredibly dangerous race. So, I wouldn’t say we were any closer to production, but I did get to the point where Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt were sitting at the table reading the script together, which was pretty amazing. But we couldn’t bring the budget to the required level.”
Because the hiring of both actors was significantly over budget, the collaboration never materialized. Fans are speculating that there is another reason why the two Hollywood legends didn’t get along with each other.

Did their feud prevent them from working together?
Pitt and Cruise have only worked together once, and that was in director Neil Jordan’s 1994 film. Interview with a Vampire. Creative differences made it difficult for Pitt and Cruise to work with each other. In a past interview, Pitt recalled (via YourTango):
“He was pestering me. There came a point during filming when I started to really resent him. He is the North Pole, I am the South Pole. He always comes up to you with a handshake and I might bump into you. There was this hidden competition that got in the way of any real conversation.”
There were also rumors about Cruise’s affair with actress Angelina Jolie, Pitt’s ex-wife. Pitt said he was “wretched

The roles went to Christian Bale and Matt Damon.
The project was then passed on to James Mangold, and Matt Damon and Christian Bale were cast as Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles, respectively. Their performances combined with Mangold’s direction made this one of the most memorable films in the genre. The sound, racing sequences and editing are some of the things that were praised.
The biographical sports drama won two Oscars and was nominated for best picture. The film grossed $225 million worldwide against a production budget of approximately $97 million.
