How Harry Potter As the films progressed, things became a little darker and less family friendly with all the violence, especially in the scene where Emma Watson’s character, Hermione Granger, is brutally tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange. Although the rest of the crew was terrified while filming the scene, Watson found it quite interesting.
In the above scene, Lestrange cuts:mudbloodon Granger’s hand, which was not in the script, but Helena Bonham Carter and Watson came up with the idea to bring more scary elements to the scene.

Emma Watson loved how the Harry Potter team was upset after the torture scene
In 2019, Warner Bros. released several interview videos in which actress Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger in the film, Harry Potter films, spoke about the scene where her character is tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange. The actress recalled that it was an unpleasant day, especially for the crew (via LiveAbout).
“I think it really bothered the team, which I was obviously happy about because it showed that I was good at my job.”
There is a scene from 2010. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Part 1., where Emma Watson’s character is tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange, played by Helena Bonham Carter, who wants her to tell her what they stole from her locker at Gringotts. In this scene, Lestrange cuts out the word “mudbloodon Granger’s arm, and she screams and cries in pain.

The scene should have been longer
In an interview, Emma Watson also said that the scene should have been longer and scarier.
“I did one take and David (Yates) let the camera roll for about two minutes and just left me screaming. When I looked at the edit, I thought, “Wow.” I mean, honestly, you can’t have me screaming for two minutes. But I thought, “I’ve been doing this for a lot longer than it actually showed.”
The part where Lestrange carved the word into Granger’s hand was not in the script. Carter and Watson immediately came up with an idea to make the situation even more dire. The scene sent chills down fans’ spines, but it had to be believable.
