Patrick Hughes’s laughter caused his team to lock him outside the studio

Watching Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds in the 2017 action/comedy, Hitman’s bodyguard, it was a treat for the eyes. The scenes in the films were fun because the two actors had impeccable chemistry. Their sharp wits, constant banter and contrasting personalities led to several giggle fests.

As a result, they decided to release a sequel in 2021 called Bodyguard of the killer’s wife. Although the film was fun to watch, it was extremely difficult to film as Patrick Hughes, the film’s director, often broke down on set, and after a certain point he had a high-pitched laugh that became unbearable.

During an exclusive interview with the BBC, Salma Hayek and Ryan Reynolds were asked: “Who had the worst laugh on camera on set?” Both actors immediately responded: “Director.” Hayek explained that Hughes was nervous in front of the camera during filming, and his laughter would have ruined many good shots.

“The director was freaking out on camera while we were filming something and we didn’t break down, and he would have liked to ruin a lot of takes, but we were happy to know that he was happy and that he was laughing.”

Reynolds added that it wasn’t a silent chuckle, but something that came straight from the diaphragm, a deeper, open-mouthed laugh.

“Yes, even the silent giggle, as if it were coming out, would not come from the diaphragm, just a real deep, open-mouthed laugh.”

Patrick Hughes came forward and mentioned that he couldn’t stop laughing while making the film. He added that the situation got so bad that the crew decided to roll his monitor outside and close the studio doors to complete work on the film. However, he was later allowed to laugh to his heart’s content as everything was soundproof.

“I couldn’t stop laughing, I just couldn’t help myself, and it got to the point where they actually took my monitor outside the studio doors. We filmed in winter, mind you, the studio doors were closed, I was outside in the snow, but people will feel me inside. But then I was allowed to laugh as loud as I could because everything was soundproof.”

It’s not the director’s fault that he laughed while filming the scenes, the movie was full of laughs, so if you’re looking for a movie that will make you laugh until your stomach hurts, then Bodyguard of the Hitman’s Wife this is a film worth watching.

“I don’t think The Hitman’s Bodyguard ranks among the best films in any category. But I also know that if Ryan and I are having a good time, a lot of people will watch it and say, “This is fucking great.”

However, watching Samuel L. Jackson in action comedies is priceless, and watching him share the screen with Dead Pool The cast was invaluable as they made the film perfect for a weekend watch to have a good time.
