More than positive results of the IAA Mobility exhibition event, which has already inherited the glory of the previous Frankfurt Motor Show twice. This was achieved by inviting more than 500 thousand visitors, 750 exhibitors from 38 countries and more than 3,700 journalists of 82 different nationalities to Munich from 5 to 10 September, using a formula more focused on innovation and change in mobility. A very successful element was the division of the exhibition space and moments of meeting with the public between the Messe München (the actual exhibition area) and the massive explosion of the IAA Open Space, which affected the historical center of the Bavarian capital. Enthusiastic visitors (there were 100,000 on Saturday alone) highlight, as we read in the organizers’ note, the enormous interest people have in the future of mobility, reaffirming the belief that green and connected cars can play a fundamental role in this change.
“German automobile industry We are confident and determined,” commented Hildegard Müller, President of the Via manufacturers association, which organizes the event, “and we are ready for future challenges.
More than 500 speakers Leading international figures provided exclusive insights into the future of mobility during conferences at the IAA Summit. These include important top executives from the mobility and technology sectors, as well as international figures such as Oscar winner Natalie Portman, Mars mission candidate Alyssa Carson and Sophia Kianni, founder of the Climate Action Initiative. CEO of Messe München GmbH Stefan Rummel and Reinhard Pfeiffer expressed their enthusiasm: “IAA Mobility Week was a week in which chaos reigned in Munich, both in the exhibition center and in the city center. Both the IAA Professional Summit and Open Space in Munich received great recognition and enthusiasm.” In total, more than 300 world premieres and new models were presented at IAA Mobility. All with very strong internationalization (primarily Chinese) so much so that every second exhibitor came from abroad, while visitors were local in a higher percentage (more than 70%). At media level, international coverage has increased by 70% compared to IAA Mobility 2021. “We are in productive negotiations with Messe München GmbH regarding IAA Mobility 2025,” said Hildegard Müller, however limiting herself to indicating that it will take place. in September.
