Being born into a privileged family is still a dream for many. However, not everyone chooses to live a lustful life without earning it. Oscar-winning actor Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith, is one of those star kids who has chosen to live a simple but meaningful life.
In an interview, Smith said that despite having all the things at hand, his son made a choice in favor of the essentials in life. Smith also shared his desire to give his son a pair of shoes and reflected on the difficulties he faced as a child, coming from a fairly poor family.

Will Smith is a famous actor who, of course, needs no introduction. The actor is married to Jada Pinkett Smith, with whom he has two children; 25-year-old son Jaden Smith and 22-year-old daughter Willow Smith. Both of his children have done well in their respective niches.
Earlier in an interview with Esquire, Smith spoke about his son Jaden Smith and praised him for living a simple life despite having the advantage of a luxurious life.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Will Smith is an established actor with an impressive net worth of $350 million. The actor has earned this huge fortune through his dedication and hard work. Like any other parent, Smith’s hard-earned money is meant for his family’s luxury, but despite having everything, his son chooses to live a simple life. Discussing his son, Smith said:
“He refused to be a slave to money. I respect that.”
Smith went on to say that his son only owned one pair of shoes, three pairs of pants and five shirts. Smith explained his son’s impressive mentality by stating:
“It’s so interesting to me that, having grown up in this space, he could see the need for things that he rejects. He’s like, “I won’t allow myself to need these things.”
Smith concluded by saying he wanted to give his son “another pair of shoes.”

Will Smith shares the story of his personal struggle
In the same interview, Smith also recalled his old days when he lived with limited sources of information. Smith spoke about his “slavery of dollars” travel and sharing,
“I came from a middle class background, but, you know, our electricity and gas would be cut off if I didn’t pay the bills. I grew up in a house where kerosene heaters were needed in the winter in case the bills weren’t paid.”
Indeed, Smith has seen a lot of difficulties in his life, but it is all the result of his hard work, which allowed him to gain a strong foothold in the film industry. When the interviewer asked Smith if he was enjoying the fruits of his hard work, Smith responded: “Lawrence of Arabia has a great line. Anthony Quinn.
“The Turks pay me a golden treasure, and I am poor, because for my people I am a river.” I just love this line. So, I make a T-shirt: I AM A RIVER FOR MY PEOPLE. I just love this line. I want to take care of people. I want to help people”.
Smith shared a profound thought, saying that what makes him happiest is when someone else becomes a better person because of his creations.
