The young businesswoman Daneidy Barrera Rojas better known as ‘Epa Colombia’ is in the eye of the hurricane after learning of the decision of a judge to sentence her to 63 months in prison for the events that occurred during the protests that occurred in Bogotá in November 2019, where the content creator published a video in which it was seen how it affected a Transmilenio station.

However, it is not the first time that a character of the national show is involved in troubles with justice, some of the most talked about are Shakira, Diomedes Díaz, Carolina Sabino, Angélica Blandón, Valerie Domínguez, among others.

Carolina Sabino

It happened in 1998, when the actress and singer was involved in a traffic accident, where the affected person was paraplegic. Sabino took his truck after consuming liquor and collided with another vehicle. In addition to paying a considerable sum of money close to 340 million pesos and several years of investigation where she was found guilty, she had to leave the recording sets because of the house sentence she had to purge.

Valerie Dominguez

The former Miss Colombia was marred by the Agro Ingreso Seguro scandals during 2010, 2011 and 2012, all on behalf of her ex-boyfriend, who benefited from the bonuses for Colombian peasants, for which he was prosecuted. The court charged him with the crimes of embezzlement and falsification of a public document, however, some time later a judge determined that he was innocent.

Diomedes Diaz

The year 1997 passed when the media of the time announced the news of the death of a fan of the vallenato singer, Diomedes Díaz. That May 15 changed the life of the artist forever, after the lifeless body of Doris Adriana Niño appeared on the outskirts of Tunja. The ‘Cacique de la Junta’ spent a good season deprived of his liberty, from October 1997 to April 1998 he spent in prison and then was under house arrest. When the final sentence was handed down, he was charged with murder and sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Shakira

On April 21, the Spanish Tax Agency sent a report to the court in which it confirms that the Colombian singer did defraud the Spanish Treasury for about 14.5 million euros (about 62,250 million pesos at the current exchange rate) between 2012 and 2014, claiming that at that time she did not reside in Spain and hiding her income through a network of companies. Shakira has been in this process of investigating the possible case of tax fraud for almost three years.

Angelica Blandón

The well-known actress was taken to the Uri of Paloquemao in Bogotá in February 2012, when traffic police officers stopped the car in which she was traveling and discovered that she was in a high state of intoxication. As reported by Noticias Caracol at the time, police officers said they were physically assaulted by the woman.

The young woman was subjected to the relevant examinations in Forensic Medicine where they found the presence of a narcotic, but was released.
