In a new interview, Mark Wahlberg talks about the importance of faith

Mark Wahlberg is one of the few actors who openly talks about the catholic faith and the role it plays in your life. Last year he shared his routine unusual prayer, which includes waking up early morning and go straight to the prayer room.

Now, the Hollywood star and father of four children he shared more about how to pray and the essential place that your faith has on your daily life.

In a long podcast with Caron Butler, the former bad boy shares how he made the transition from the world of music to the performance. Says that concentration and discipline were the reasons for their success. It also reveals that focus on your faith have been instrumental to make him the man he is today:

“Faith is the most important thing… Is that I start my day every day. When I open my eyes, before turning on the light or do anything, I pray. I go into my prayer room and step in there for 15 to 20 minutes to express how grateful I am.”

Wahlberg also shared the content of some of his prayers:

“I pray for all the people that I have in my life and the people I have encountered along the way. The people that have been positive in my faith and in my life. The people that I know are going through difficult times in the disease. And so I start my day and then I read my book of prayers”.

The extraordinary work ethic took Wahlberg to keep his acting career, despite being involved also in the production of movies and the world of fitness. You know very well that their christian duty is to give back, as can be seen in the Foundation, Mark Wahlberg, launched to help children in need.

“Is that God has not blessed me with all of this to say: ‘forget where you come from, and only salt and enjoy a great life.’ Now there is an opportunity and a responsibility to give back [el bien recibido] and be an example that will inspire other people to say it does not matter where you come from or what obstacles you face, if you really do the right thing … you good things will happen “.

For Wahlberg, it was his faith that has made him the person he is today:

“I received and I used the blessings and graces that God gave me of the manner in which He wanted me to be a good servant, a good father, husband, son, friend, neighbor, leader and follower, a follower… I know that I should be doing more, I can do more”.

He adds that more needs to be done to positively influence others and be more selective with her movies, to not lose what is important to him: his family.
