“Interview With the Vampire” Will Be a Television Series

Another piece of news in the “who would have doubted” category: one of the most famous films about ghouls “Interview with the Vampire” will be reworked in the format of a series. According to Deadline, while we are talking about one season for eight episodes. The show will air on AMC (Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead franchises, Preacher, Terror anthology).

Clarified: Last year, AMC acquired the rights to eighteen books by Anne Rice, author of the original literary Interview, so it makes sense to wait for a massive breakdown. Mark Johnson (“Breaking Bad” / “Better Call Saul”) and Rollin Jones (“The Exorcist”, “Perry Mason”, “Boardwalk Empire”, “Datura”), who will act as a screenwriter and showrunner, will be engaged in the development of a new channel setting. The premiere is promised for 2022.

Neil Jordan’s “Interview with the Vampire” was released in 1994 and is considered a huge subgenre cult. Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Kirsten Dunst, Antonio Banderas and Christian Slater played there. Rice’s original novel was first published in 1976 – three years after it was written – and launched the extensive Vampire Chronicle series. The second famous series of the author is the conditional spin-off “Chronicle” “The Witches of Mayfair”, consisting of six books.
