Into the Spider-Verse fan art imagines Miles Morales in live action alongside Tom Holland’s Spider-Man

With Sony reportedly in development for a live-action film about Miles Morales, the iconic Marvel hero is featured in new Spider-Verse fan art alongside Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, a popular choice of fans . One of the Marvel characters that is one of Hollywood’s most popular superheroes is Spider-Man, from Holland’s version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the Spider-Verse animated franchise starring Miles. The latter recently returned to the big screen with Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which will be followed by Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse in 2024.

As popular as Peter and Miles are apart, fans have been hoping to see the two frequent net climbers in reality at some point. One such fan is No More Mutants, who recently saw Holland’s Peter Parker in a live-action version of Miles alongside Black-ish’s Miles Brown.

In fact, Miles Brown has expressed interest in playing Miles Morales in a live-action film in recent years, both on social media and in interviews. The 18-year-old young actor, who is Afro-Latino, has received fan support online for the idea.

Following the massive success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man 4 is in development at Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios. Although the project has stalled due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, Holland has spoken of bringing Miles into the MCU at some point. This comes in between Holland also revealing how long he will continue playing Spider-Man.

Since Miles is already present in the MCU through Spider-Man: Homecoming, it begs the question whether Holland’s character could ever come close to him, perhaps in Spider-Man 4. Miles will be in his teens at this point, while Peter he’ll be an adult when Holland’s Spider-Man 4 comes out. This could well create a mentor/apprentice dynamic with Peter in his journey as Spider-Man. This would make sense especially since the epilogue of Spider-Man: No Way Home leaves Holland’s Peter Parker with very few allies, leaving room for Miles’ formal introduction to the MCU.

If the Into the Spider-Verse franchise has proved anything, it’s that there can be multiple web climbers at once. This could easily be adapted to the MCU if Peter and Miles serve as Spider-Man at the same time, as Insomniac’s Spider-Man video games have discovered in recent years. Here’s hoping Spider-Man 4 is the launch pad for Miles in the MCU and adds another beloved web-climber to the live-action world.
