Into the Spiderverse” accompanied by a live orchestra

The premiere of the music that forms the soundtrack to the latest films in the Spider-Man franchise has generated as much anticipation as the film itself, and on Sunday a live orchestra at the State Theater will show audiences why.

The Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Live soundtrack combines symphonic orchestral music with hip-hop and combines the Academy Award-winning animated film with live musicians and a DJ scratching live on stage.

The performance features the Broadway Sinfonietta, an all-female orchestra and predominantly women of color, led by conductor Emily Marshall. The show begins at 6:00 pm on October 15th at the State Theater located at 453 Northampton St. in Easton. Ticket prices range from $39 to $59.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse premiered in theaters in 2018.

The animated film follows Brooklyn teenager Miles Morales, the new Spider-Man, as he discovers the limitless possibilities of “Spider-Verse,” where more than one Spider-Man can wear the mask.

The film stars Shameik Moore as the title character, Jake Johnson from Fox’s New Girl and Oscar Isaac, best known for his role in Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens, as well as Marvel comics writer Stan Lee.

The film’s score was composed by Emmy Award winner Daniel Pemberton and features a boundary-pushing original score complemented by songs by Post Malone, Lil Wayne, Jaden Smith and Nicki Minaj.
