Today, Friday, Hezbollah published a statement attributed to armed factions in Iraq, saying that these factions will begin a new phase of “stronger and broader” support for the Palestinians next week.

The short statement says this phase will be “a new phase in confronting enemies, and will be more severe and broader in its bases in the region.”

Before that, Iraqi factions announced they had targeted the Ain al-Assad base in Anbar, western Iraq, which includes American forces, with a drone that “directly hit their targets,” according to its statement.

These attacks also occurred amid fears that the heavily fortified US embassy in the Green Zone would be exposed to similar attack attempts.
