Israel recalls its ambassador from Spain

In his statement on the social media platform X, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen blamed Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez.

Cohen claimed that his country “acted in accordance with international law,” and stated that he decided to summon Israel’s ambassador to Madrid for consultations.

Cohen indicated that they will continue attacks on Gaza “until Hamas is eliminated and all Israeli prisoners are released.”


Netanyahu orders the summoning of the Spanish ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the summoning of the Spanish ambassador to Tel Aviv to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in West Jerusalem because of Sanchez’s words.

The statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Press Office stated that Netanyahu requested that the Spanish ambassador be summoned to the ministry in response to Sanchez’s statements.

Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez said in his statement to state television RTVE: “We have seen that Israel has systematically occupied the Palestinian territories, the West Bank. And now we see what is happening in Gaza.” Use the following expressions:
